the last hurrah! |
| "We did it." As the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Class of 2023's Head Boy spoke these words, even the most powerful Sonorus charm couldn't have drowned out the screams and cheers from his graduating class. In fact, as the Head Girl joked in her ensuing speech, he really could have ended his graduation address with those three words. "We did it." The forty students who sat together that day had been Sorted together, had their first terrified lessons together, listened to the war stories of their Professors together, learned how to sneak out after curfew together, developed crushes on their Prefects together, had their first illicit sips of firewhiskey together, taken their OWLs and NEWTs together, and now graduated together. At the ripe age of 17 - and a few who have already reached 18 - the class of 2023 is preparing to separate after seven long, hard, wonderful years together. But in between now and the future - Auror training, Healer training, internships at the Prophet, Cursebreaking school - there's the summer. The Last Hurrah! before they go their separate ways. A nine week long party, if you will. And if there's one thing the class of 2023 knows how to do... it's party. TLH! is a next-generation Harry Potter game based around the class of 2023 (ie, the contemporaries of James Sirius Potter II) after they complete their 7th year at Hogwarts. The game begins on 06/15, the day after the class of 2023 has graduated and moved out of Hogwarts. Over the next nine weeks, these young men and women will try to figure out their lives, start training for their future careers, struggle to stay connected with friends who no longer live a corridor away, and resolve those classic last summer questions: Will the golden couple stay together? Will the head of the class get into the program of his dreams? Will they finally admit that they're head-over-heels for one another? Will they ever get over their differences? After this nine week period, their summers officially end, their lives begin, and the game closes. We hope you'll join our community for this journey in character development, entangled social groups, and just plain ol' roleplaying fun! |
