| Rules. |
| 1. Be excellent to each other. 2. Party on, dudes. The Last Hurrah! is a casual, social-based PSL that focuses on solid writing, encouraging creativity, and fostering an intimate connection between our members over the course of the next 9 weeks. We trust you to have common sense about RP etiquette, which includes the frequency, length, and content of your posts. The only thing that we ask is that you enjoy the game and allow others to enjoy it as well. |

| WHY NINE WEEKS? The mods wanted to create a simple game centered around the summer to provide a short, fun experience with a clear beginning and ending date. Plus, summer is usually a time when everyone is more able to take on another game, so TLH! is a great summer-only option that won't bog you down in the fall. WHY ONE CLASS? As much fun as it would be to have Albus, Scorpius, Teddy, all the Weasley cousins, and every other canon next-gen character running around, we want to focus on the bond between 40 kids who have spent the last 7 years doing literally everything together. With this in mind, there are only 40 playable characters; everyone else can be NPC'd on the npc account. CAN I PLAY... Parent pairings are totally at your discretion. While we prefer to see couples made from characters in canon who might feasibly get together, we don't mind characters who have Muggle parents, or the use of lesser known canon characters (eg, Spinks) to make families. Just... nothing crazy, yeah? WHAT'S ALL THIS ABOUT TRAINING? One of the most fun aspects of playing characters at this point in their lives is playing characters who are on the brink of becoming adults. Part of that is career-building. For certain careers, students must apply for admission into training programs of variable exclusivity. On the first of July, NEWTs scores will be released and students will be informed of what training programs they've been admitted to (if they applied to any). To imitate the way that college decisions occur in real life, members will be asked to fill out short surveys to determine what odds their characters have of getting into the programs they've applied to. That way, it'll be a surprise to everyone when decisions are announced, which will provide a great opportunity for drama and character development. JOURNALS? The mods don't believe in excessively long descriptions of what journals are and how they work. All that really needs to be known is that people have them. Things can be warded private or to groups of people. If anything more complicated than that needs to be decided about journals, well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A SPELL/POP CULTURE ITEM/GAME EVENT. Contact a mod - we're dying to hear it! IS THERE A CHARACTER LIMIT? 3 character limit, with none in the same House. Since this game only has 40 characters, please use your better judgement to ensure you don't have too much overlap in social circles - otherwise we might get into a sticky rpsterbation situation.
